Why do I need to register before applying for jobs?2026-03-02T15:28:42+00:00

We do not charge teachers for our services, instead schools pay us for finding a teacher perfectly suited to their jobs.  We are not a job board. Our matching process iscomplex and includes things such as the kind of teaching experience you have, your teacher training and curriculum background, your match to the visa requirements,  how well your family status matches the school’s package, and how flexible a school is at any given moment with any given job. Our consultants are largely ex-teachers with significant HR training on top who go through extensive training and mentoring.

We save the school’s HR teams time and money because they don’t have to sift through piles of well-meaning applications from teachers who are not right for them, and we save teachers the wasted effort and heartache of dozens if not hundreds of unanswered applications.

Can I change or delete my data once I register?2026-03-02T15:26:46+00:00

Yes! We are a British company and abide by UK data protection rules. You are in full control of your data.

When you register, you will create an account on our Candidate Portal, and you can update and change your information through it.  You will be able to customise and set up job alerts, apply for jobs, upload or change documents, change your contact info, personal and professional details, communicate with your consultant and more.  Through the portal, at the bottom of the first page you have the options to put your job search on hold, and to delete your information altogether.

If you delete your profile, it will delete all the documentation and information we have. The only exceptions are legal – we are required to keep a record of when we send your profile to a school, if we place you in a job, and if we believe there is a safeguarding issue.

What is a CV / Resume?2026-03-02T11:48:30+00:00

A CV, or Curriculum Vitae is another word for a resume. It’s got three basic parts for international teachers:

  1. Your name, contact details and other personal information
  2. Details of your tertiary (university) education, and teacher training/certifications
  3. Your full work history – a list of employers, when you worked for them, what job you did and any awards/accomplishments in your jobs

As we are a company headquartered in the UK with offices around the world, we typically use the UK term CV.

We know writing a CV is difficult especially because you don’t know what potential employers are looking for.  We have a great web page full of hints and top tips, and a short video that tells you what you need to know.

Why does Edvectus need my personal information and CV/Resume?2026-03-02T11:49:02+00:00

International school jobs outside of your home country require you to obtain work authorisation from your new employer.  In most countries the Ministries of Education and Immigration offices require you to have certain qualifications and experience to qualify and sometimes have minimum/maximum age restrictions, but they are different for every country.  Additionally, each job comes with an employment package, which can include things like housing, flights and family benefits.

We prequalify you against what packages our clients are offering, what their experience requirements are, and what the countries immigration rules are to help  your applications land where they have the best chance, and our client schools only receive applications from teachers they can legally hire.
